WANTON PRACTICE OF CORRUPTION
By Sonlal Singson
Had the government, regardless of any political parties that comes into holding of power,in the decades that have gone by, committed to ensured that at least the education sector in our State to be untouched by corruption, the state today would have been in different picture. There would have been no need of investing crores of rupees in Metropolitan cities to garner better education for our children.Either young job seekers overall would have the ability to clear all-india competitive examination for the top jobs offer by the central government.Despite the state apathy towards the education sector, young job seekers those already in the schedule tribe list no less find in clearing confidently to enter into the general category of the most lucrative job conducted by UPSC.
In all probability, the playing field should have been leveled at higher ground so that the younger generation with their competence and awareness remain competitive even at the national level rather than seeking bars of competition to be lowered and rendering them handicapped by the rest of the country. The state government fattened crores of rupees in education sector yet most of the government run institutions fails to deliver qualitative results.Privately owned institution holds the ambit of shaping the fate of many younger generation thus by bagging lots of money from the common people as no one has willing to educate their wards in the State run institutions at this tech-savy generation.
Madness competition of legallising corrupted seeds of money siphoning off from government Scheme or developmental projects by a few who make living justify their action,by making mountful contributions in the society with no exception in Religious activities to hide their sinful acts, was really profounding. This giant gargantuan of infidelity should be stop lest the system will degenerates,it already was as we speak,it become no less worst habitual fact of practices.Much has been inked down and an alarm was made to the Government about the deteriorating shapes of education sector.Sadly, nothing fruitful was taken underway.
To be dependent upon the State government for education, one should be well aversed with the system that it's a herculean task to climb into the ladder of success where merits and competence no longer serves to be a criterion for holding even a humble post in the state establishment.Delays in infrastructure development, poor education qualities and layers of additional costs in mostly State run institutions are all consequences of corruptions.
Many acts of corruption not only deprive the future of our children but even their constitutional and human rights. It destabilises the moral values our society and endangers the rule of law.It undermines the institutions and values of our democracy. The younger generation will not spare us if this graveyard of Corruption continue to flourish.
Government formulates public policies and public resources which are largely beneficial to poor people,in contrast it makes the poor most vulnerable to corruption grievously since it stalls service delivery. It ultimately distorted the development and upliftment of the people. It's a time that we have to wake up from our deep slumber and aware that every public money was meant for government services and projects.Taxes collected, bonds issued, income from government investments and other means of financing government expenditure purportedly meant for social grants, education, hospitals, roads, the supply of power and water, and fairness by all means,to ensure personal security of each citizens.
Corruption and bad management practices strangulate the nation's wealth.Mostly,on all accounts,Mass action and strikes should be organised, Children should be taught at school how corruption effects our moral values. Most importantly,Parents should take moral responsibility at home in educating their ward against the collusive practices of corruption.Justice and governance concerns the moral responsibility and integrity of individuals since not a selected few, every individual roles are accountable in their own way to check the unceasing culture of corruptions.
It's hard not to paint a sorry affairs of our state when everyone seems to be taking the practice of corruption as granted despite sizeable number of government officials having a clean chit who operate in good faith, with integrity and no conflicts of interest helps the moral values intact to some extent otherwise our society will be damn.
Each and every individuals entrusted with public resources and civil society play an elicit roles in weakening the system of corruption.Only, after, when each individual learnt to accept every responsible citizens roles as crucial that will ease in tackling the evil practices of corruption, then we can make our society a better place to tuck our ass.
