Dec 12: Troops of Red Shield Division launched an operation on December 11 in general area of HQ Veng near District Hospital, Churachandpur and arrested a ZRA cadre namely Jampao Guite (47), s/o (L) Jamkhothong of Lanva village, Churachandpur district, according to a statement issued by the PRO(Defence), Imphal.

He was apprehended while extorting money at a medical store.

One Motor Cycle Yamaha (RX-100) with Regd No MN1H-0610, one Nokia Mobile (XL) black colour with Airtel sim card, Rs 5,090(in cash) and incriminating documents of financial details of the extortion activity being carried out by the individual were recovered.

The apprehendee has been handed over to Lamphel police station, Imphal along with the recovered items.
