FLAC held at Bunglon, Chiengkon

IMPHAL, May 5: In its efforts to create financial literacy among the people, the Social Transmission Agency has organised a one-day financial literacy awareness camp was held at Bunglon High School, Ccpur district on May 3 under the sponsorship of Small Industry Development Bank of India (SIDBI), Imphal.

Resource persons of the programme included Janet Boinu, Mung Tonsing, Field Officer, SBI Ccpur Branch and S Goulalsiem, agent, LIC. They spoke on basic financial management, loan facility and insurance policy.

Around 58 people of Bunglon area participated in the programme. Amongst others, chief of Bunglon village, S Lalpu; Thienlaljoy, SDO Chakpikarong, S Pauminthang Gangte, Manager, SIDBI, Imphal branch and other prominent social activists and leaders of STA took part in the programme.

Similar programme was also organised by STA under the sponsorship of SIDBI today from 6 pm at Chiengkonpang Community Hall with Khaikhopau Ngaihte, BO, DC Office Ccpur as the special guest.

Jenet P Nunthieng sensitised the gatherings on basic financial management while officials from SIDBI and NABARD also attended the programme.
