6TH NORTH EAST TAMCHON FOOTBALL TROPHY

In memory of late Mr. R.N. Tamchon, ACP, Delhi Police, the Tangkhul Naga Society Delhi (TNSD), is organizing the 6th North East Tamchon Football Trophy from 17th November — 1St December, 2012 at Dr. Ambedkar Stadium, Delhi Gate, New Delhi.

Sixteen teams from all North Eastern Region including state of Sikkim are participating. The tournament is being organized on invitational basis. The main aim and objective is to promote unity, friendship, understanding and sportsmanship amongst people from the North East of India. TNSD is organizing this tournament to provide opportunity to talented players to display their potential. In this endeavour TNSD is convinced that interaction among various communities through sports would foster deeper friendship, unity and understanding.

*    The winner will be awarded with the North East Tamchon Football Trophy in addition to cash prize of Rs. 5 Lakhs, medals and certificates. The trophy can be owned by any team who wins the trophy consecutively for three years.
*    The first-runners up will be awarded medals and certificates, with a cash prize of Rs. 3 Lakhs
*    The second — runners up will be awarded medals and certificates, with a cash prize of Rs. 2 Lakh
