PRESS CLARIFICATION

Apropos the News Items that appeared via certain electronic media, regarding the shooting incident at P. Songlianlal’s residence, Games Village, Imphal I hereby make the following clarifications for information of all concerned.

1)    The accusation fabricated against me of allegedly escorting the culprits to Churachandpur is false, baseless and unfounded.
2)    On the day of the incident, i.e., 7th October, 2012, I remained in Imphal and never left for any place at any point of time.
3)    Such accusations are motivated by speculations, political vindictiveness   and a deliberate attempt to malign the political image of my father.
4)    I have always been a law abiding citizen and I am confident that the truth    will emerge.
