TT HAOKIP is CHAIRMAN OF HAC, MANIPUR

Former Deputy Speaker of Manipur Legislative Assembly, Pu T Thangzalam Haokip was today unanimously elected as the Chairman of Hill Area Committee (HAC), Manipur Legislative Assembly.

Hill Area Committee is a Constitutional body under Article 371 (C) of the Constitution of India.

Banker-turned Politician, Pu TT Haokip was first elected to Manipur Legislative Assembly on MSCP ticket in 1998, and subsequently elected as the Deputy Speaker. In the election held in 2000, 2002, 2007 and 2012, TT Haokip lost by a narrow margin to his rival Congressman. With his political objective of "Re-building Henglep" close to his heart, he never lost hope and fought the battle again, this time on BJP ticket defeating his nearest Congress candidate by securing 8438 votes in 2017 election.

An uphill tasks lies ahead, as the drenched and bumpy road leading to Henglep Headquarters calls for immediate restoration; and wiping out the cries and tears of the people for ultimate deliverance of "justice"!!!
