A 16 member zomi cultural troupe/team(14 girls, 2 men) from ZYA GHQ, Lamka arrived New Delhi on March 6, 2013 by Rajdhani train from Guwahati. They are staying in a hotel at Sant Nagar, East of Kailash, New Delhi. The team will perform cultural dance (as the representative of Manipur) in the International Women's Day celebrations being held in the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA), CV Mess Jan Path, New Delhi during  March 8-9. The function will be inaugurated on March 8 by the Union Minister for Culture, while other women dignitaries like Smt Sonia Gandhi and Smt.Sheila Dixit may grace the function at various times before its conclusion on March 14 evening. On  Sunday, the team may attend Church service (EBC Church, Dwarka and ZCF, Parliament Street). On March 11, Delhi darshan may be undertaken before boarding Rajdhani train for homebound journey on the next day. The travel/boarding expenses of the team are sponsored by IGNCA, New Delhi. The  ZYA Delhi Region is in regular contact with them. It is perhaps for the first time ever that a Zomi cultural team represents Manipur in a national level gathering organised at New Delhi by an autonomous institution under the central Government.
