A Brief profile of Rev Dr Ginnei Thang Ngaihte
Rev Dr Thang: Former Regional Director, Overseas Missionary Fellowship, Philippines, and Director of International Students, Asian Theological Seminary, Manila (during the years 2000-2010). He is presently teaching at Chiangmai Theological Seminary (CTS), at the same time helping at Asian Cross Cultural Training Institute in Singapore as 'Interim Dean'. His wife, Nu Ching is also teaching at CTS as well as helping with the Aid care programmme.
Hereunder is a concise excerpt from his article – Never Alone, published in GOSCENT|1910-2010, pp. 49-56;
Born in one of a small hamlets in North East India and grew up in a humble Christian family, I was timid and feel vulnerable until I continue to experience the faithfulness of God in my missionary life. Once I was interviewed by a local TV crew asking me to comment on 'my experiences in overseas missions'. I said to her, 'if I knew all the struggles in missions fields in advance I won't dare to go; but if I could comprehend the faithfulness of God in His promises beforehand, I would have gone to missions fields much earlier than I did.' As I encountered with various issues and challenges pertaining to missionary life and ministries, I ask myself 'can people like me need to go to World missions?' Now I answered to myself, 'Yes, not me but with God and his loving presence everything is possible. Never Alone.

[Aware, of your call for Service;
With my sinful, weakness laden soul;
This worthless being of mine,
I come to you, O Lord, needing your help.
Living no longer for others;
But serving you alone;
I shall not flounder,
For, the unshakably built eternal fortress,
Because of the Cross of Christ, has become my own.
Teach me how to walk with you;
Let 'Thine will be done' ever be my song
Clothe me with the beauty of Calvary 's love
And with thy gracious Promise;
So that I can serve you ever
I will keep on going, for He is with me;
The victory over the world is mine;
Though I may be traversed by storms of problems
And waves of temptations the Saviour is with me;
I belonged to Him, the eternal King's.
How amazing it would be, when;
I shall stand also, crowned with the special crown of honour;
Prepared for the destitute, needy and the victors;
On that platter of eternal's perfection].
