Mizoram CM, MNF extends support
Aizawl: Mizo National Front (MNF) President Zoramthanga today said, he wants the world to know that his party will stand by their brothers in Manipur who are being denied of their priviledge.
Speaking at the party gathering in Aizawl, Zoramthanga said the bill passed by the Manipur Congress Govt infringed upon the very existence of the hill tribes, and the kind of protest they made justified the threatened feeling of the hill people.
He sends his condolence to the family of persons who died during the protest and urge the hill people to stay strong in the difficult situation that they are facing.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister of Mizoram, Lalthanhawla said, innocent people reeling under the tensed situation in Manipur state needs support at this time.
He said, the govt has written a complaint regarding the Land Revenue & Land Reforms Act recently passed by the Manipur Assembly. He also said, he will support the Hill tribes getting their political autonomy.
