IMPHAL, Jul 13 : The demand for ILP continues as more and more civil organisations continue support the movement.

Protest demonstrations were staged today organised by civil organisations from all over the State demanding the implementation of ILP in Manipur. Some such demonstrations were seen at Sawombung Kabui Khun, Lamlai, Patsoi part II Makha Leikai, Kongpal Chanam Leikai, Uripok Canteen road, Uripok Sinam Leikai, Baschaspati road, Patsoi Langjing bazar Wapokpi, ......

Thangbijou Youth Club, in support of the people's demand, took out a protest rally from Panggong to Keikhu yesterday.

Thangbijou Youth Club president Md Ramijuddin Shah said the Manipuri-Muslim community would wholeheartedly support the people's movement for ILP.

Naodam bazar Nisha Bandh Action Committee, Kakching in association with Kakching JCILPS wing staged a sit-in-protest at Kakching Makha Leikai Naodam Bazar Keithel Macha. The protesters observed a minute silence in honour of late Sapam Robinhood during the protest.

Similar protest were seen at various places in Thoubal like Kakching Keithel Macha, Yawubung Keithel, Kiyam Siphai Khong Ahanbi waiting shed, Thoubal melaground, Khangabok, Wangjing Tekcham Leikai and Wangjing Wangkhei.

Later, large number of protesters assembled at Wangjing bazar attempting to impose a bandh in the area. Police personnel deployed in the area fired tear gas in an attempt to control the situation. The protesters were later forced to return to their respective localities.
