Terming it a “daring movie”, a statement released to the media by Robin Hibu, IPS Nodal Officer for North East people , Delhi Police stated that the film based on the story of NE victims of crimes in Delhi is a blockbuster melancholic sad movie of a love story of a NE boy and a girl who had come to Delhi for higher studies and chart a better future for themselves.
According to the statement, the film tells the story of discrimination, humiliation faced by the North East boy and girl and showed how they felt alienated in their own country. Their parents had invested high hopes and expectations that they would make it big in the city, the statement said. The statement added that the film portrays the story of naivety of NE boys and girls who succumb to the “short-lived glamorous enticements”.
Hibu said that the film depicts the reality of life of the NE girls. That it has strong moral values and a message of a “fallen flower” as symbolized by the protagonist in the film, who was betrayed by her lover. The police officer said that the film would be a good moral lesson for the NE youth in Delhi, and therefore advised them to make sure they watch the film. The said film due to release next moth has Bonny and Bala in the cast. The film is reported to have English subtitles and is expected to be screened in Delhi.
The movie is produced by Raju Singh, a promising entrepreneur.
