KNF cadres under Suspension of Operation cast their votes
For the first time in the history of Manipur, underground cadres under the Suspension of Operation (SoO) with Government exercised their voting rights yesterday. Just like the rest of the people in Manipur across the districts cast their votes for the second phase of Lok Sabha election, these cadres too, exercised their franchise at their designated camp.
42 lucky cadres of Kuki National Front (KNF) got a change to cast their votes using the postal ballot under the supervision of one nodal officer at Natheljang Evenezer Camp in Kangpokpi SADAR Hill area, which is dominated by Kuki tribe.
Around 296 cadres of KNF are residing in this camp as signatory groups of various Kuki Militant under the umbrella of Kuki National Organiztion (KNO). In total, 280 ballot papers were provided to 14 various camps.
